Secord Township (MI) Fire Department Takes Delivery of 2021 Freightliner

The Secord Township (MI) Fire Department recently took delivery of a $470,000 2021 Freightliner engine from CSI Fire Apparatus, reports gladwinmi.com.

The apparatus was originally ordered in February 2020, but COVID-19 delays pushed it to take 23 months to build, the report says.

The apparatus has a 1,750-gallon-per-minute pump and holds 3,200 gallons of water and a light tower.

The engine, which will be paid for out of the department’s budget, will replace its 1996 predecessor, which failed NFPA pump inspection, according to the report.
