One man has been arrested for the death of a woman found in a house fire in Thurston County.
Firefighters responded to a fire in the 4100 block of Cooper Point Rd NW in Thurston County around 8:30 a.m. on March 9. After the fire was put out, crews pulled the body of a woman believed to be in her 40s out of the home and called the Thurston County Sheriff's Office to investigate.

Before considering the sale of the Lost Mountain Fire Station, leaders with Clallam County Fire District 3 are making one last effort to recruit active volunteers to see if they want to keep the station going.
Interim fire chief Dan Orr said at the March 5 fire commissioners meeting that postcards were sent out the same day to residents on Lost Mountain, setting up another community meeting.

VIDEOS: Two people were killed after a house exploded in Crescent Township, Allegheny County.
Authorities say the blast was reported shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday. Units from Crescent, Moon and Sewickley responded to the scene, as well as responders from Ambridge. Two people, 87-year-old Helen H. Mitchell and 89-year-old David L.

First responders in Elliott County are mourning two of their own.
In a Facebook Post late Tuesday night Elliott County, Kentucky EMS posted that an EMT and a firefighter both lost their lives on the same day.
