A 500-gallon underground propane tank was found at a Virginia home that exploded Friday, killing one firefighter and injuring others, officials said Saturday. Loudoun County Fire and Rescue were called to the home in Sterling around 7:40 p.m. for a gas leak, Chief Keith Johnson said at a news conference.

VIDEO: The City of Tampa unveiled eight new vehicles on Monday as part of a multi-million dollar investment in fire safety. “We’ve been waiting for quite some time and it really is a milestone,” Tampa Mayor Jane Castor said. Engine 1114 was originally ordered in April 2022 from a manufacturer in Oregon. The new engine was just over half a million dollars, sitting at $672,000.
