Follow Up: The Pasco Fire Department is pulling together the community to its stations, while also teaching people about the city’s history. In the four fire stations across Pasco, there are four different logos, each tied to the station and what their fire station does, and each station actually designed their own logos.

Evacuations remain in place for 3rd day for the Seven Bays Fire near Davenport

Evacuations remained in place for a third day for the Seven Bays Fire near Davenport Tuesday morning. The fire was estimated to have burned 1,000 acres and it is 0% contained. Level 3 evacuations, meaning "go now," are in effect in the area around the fire, north to Hume, west to Miles Creston, south to Reinbold and east to Highway 25.

Kayenta Township (AZ) Holds ‘Push-In’ Ceremony for New Fire Trucks

The Kayenta Township (AZ) held a dedication and “push-in” ceremony on August 24 for two new fire trucks, NavajoTimes.com reported.

The fire department operates and relies on tax revenue and answers calls as far away as Teec Nos Pos, Shonto, Cow Springs, Chilchinbeto, Navajo Mountain and Red Mesa, the report said.

The Navajo Nation has not been supportive while the township’s fire department continues to struggle due to the rising cost of fuel, maintenance and repairs, the report said. Other issues include a lack of sleeping quarters and training facilities.

Fire Truck Crashes into Light Rail Vehicle in Sydney, Australia

Sydney, Australia was thrown into chaos Sunday when a light rail vehicle derailed after colliding with a fire truck on its way to another emergency, 7News.com reported.

Fire at restaurant in Union Gap, second alarm requested

VIDEO: A major fire has destroyed a well known restaurant in Union Gap. Yakima Fire Department firefighters responded to a structure fire at El Porton in Union Gap on Sunday that caused an estimated $1.8 million in damages. No injuries were reported from the fire. YFD was called to 2512 Main Street at 4:32 pm Sunday, September 4th, in response to a report of fire from the roof of a restaurant.
