Families have been forced out of their homes after a massive fire broke out early this morning in DeKalb County.
DeKalb Fire crews responded just after 4 a.m. They say flames ripped through three homes on the 1000 block of Lenox Park Boulevard NE in Brookhaven. Officials say these are large single-family homes that are very close together.

The FDNY says it busted an illegal lithium-ion battery operation in Queens.
Wilson's Electric Scooters and Sales along Queens Boulevard in Rego Park is where the FDNY says it shut down an illegal lithium-ion manufacturing operation.
"Nobody teach me. They don't do nothing but take money, give me ticket," owner Wilson Chen said.

Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas traveled this week to Las Vegas to review U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) operations for Super Bowl LVIII with state and local law enforcement and the National Football League (NFL).

The Naches Fire Department was one of numerous fire crews in Yakima County to receive medical devices through ARPA funds.
30 fire departments in Yakima County, including Naches, received a 'Lucas Three Device'.
According to their Facebook page, they received the new equipment through a grant application by the Yakima County department of emergency medical services and director Tony Miller.
