On any given day, residents across Portage County might see Assistant EMS Chief Joe Gemza from the Stevens Point Fire Department on the front lines of local emergencies.
But they also might recognize him from a popular Wendy’s commercial.
Under the moniker “Tyler” of the goofy pitchmen pair Tyler and Toby, Gemza has been selling junior bacon cheeseburgers and chocolate Frostys to anyone who’ll listen for over a year.

VIDEO: A man has been taken into custody after a massive fire that destroyed a house in Hamilton Township on Friday afternoon.
According to the Hamilton Township fire chief, crews were dispatched to a fire and a man with a gun in the 800 block of Sunrise Ridge Court around 2 p.m. The man proceeded to have a standoff with police for around an hour before firefighters could begin to knock down the flames.
