VIDEO: Two firefighters were injured after a gun was pointed at them, and they jumped from the second-floor of an apartment complex in southwest Houston on Saturday, according to the Houston Police Department. Houston firefighters responded to the 6000 block of Bissonnet Street at about 11 p.m. to save a man who was having seizures.

VIDEO: West Metro Fire started the dog therapy program four years ago with two dogs, Remmey and Captain. Fast forward to today, the program is the largest in the state, with 11 therapy dogs. “The dogs bring an amazing sense of calmness and excitement to our crews. PHOTOS: A child is in critical condition and an adult was seriously injured in an Auburn house fire early Sunday morning. When fire crews arrived at the scene around 5:30 a.m., 11 residents of the home had already evacuated. Crews attacked the fire from inside the home to confirm that everybody made it out.

According to a Facebook post from the Stevens County Fire District, crews responded to the fire around 2 a.m. The business was off of West Tumbleweed Drive in Suncrest, near Nine Mile Falls. Firefighters brought the fire under control quickly.
