VIDEO: Man dies after running back inside burning California home

A man died after he ran back inside a burning home in Mission Hills early Wednesday morning. The fire started inside a one-story duplex located at 10803 N. Noble Ave. and Chatsworth Street, near the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway, around 3 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. All four residents made it out of the burning home safely, before a man in his 70s ran back inside to try and grab some of his personal belongings.

Federal fire safety campaign makes a stop at Chicago firehouse

Fire department in Utah launches e-bike team at airport

VIDEO: In collaboration with the Salt Lake City International Airport, the Salt Lake City Fire Department is rolling out a new team to respond to emergencies. The airport now has a two-person e-bike squad that responds to medical calls in the terminal six days a week. “They’ve got all of their basic life support equipment,” said Capt.

Cause of Ilwaco fire still unknown

The cause of a massive fire that destroyed a seafood landing facility and thousands of commercial crab pots in Ilwaco on Monday is still unknown. Investigators from Pierce County and from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were expected to be on scene Wednesday to conduct a routine investigation.

13 Puget Sound Fire firefighters graduate from recruit academy

Thirteen Kent-based Puget Sound Fire recruit firefighters recently graduated from the South King County Fire Training Consortium recruit academy number 17. A total of 57 recruit firefighters graduated from 10 King County fire departments. More than 700 family members, friends and firefighters attended the graduation Jan.
