Texas fire departments are fighting stigma and pushing to provide firefighters with mental health help

For more than a decade, Sam Buser watched the lights of fire trucks bounce off the city streets of Houston, heard the roars of burning blazes and stood before the caskets of too many firefighters. He never held a hose or kicked in a door, but, as senior psychologist for the Houston Fire Department, he spent many sleepless nights at fire stations.

Spokane Fire Department using AI technology to improve city-wide safety

VIDEO: Soon, Fire Station 5 in Eagle Ridge is going to be under construction, and thanks to new AI technology “Darkhorse,” the public won’t notice a difference. “Station 5 with our concrete, that company is going to be relocated temporarily. One person injured after fire at Tukwila grocery store

A large fire broke out at a Somali grocery store in Tukwila on Friday morning and escalated to a second alarm, meaning about 40 firefighters were on the scene, before it was extinguished. When firefighters arrived, they found a fire on the first and second floors of Sophiya Halal Mini Market located near Tukwila International Boulevard and South 146th Street.

2 RVs burned in Seattle's SODO neighborhood as colder temps increase risk for encampment fires
