Pennsylvania firefighters donate gear to fellow first responders in war-torn Ukraine

Equipment from Spring Mill Fire Company in Whitemarsh Township, Pennsylvania is on its way to help firefighters in Ukraine by way of North Jersey. "It's our way to give back in some fashion. Volunteer fire companies, they want to give back to the community in any way that we can, and maybe this is giving back more than just the local," said Chief Wayne Masters of Spring Mill Fire Company.

Ex-Bainbridge Island assistant fire chief to help improve Poulsbo’s emergency plans

The Poulsbo City Council approved Wednesday to have an outside expert help update and identify areas of improvement for the city’s Comprehensive Emergency Management and Emergency Operations plans. The expert is former Bainbridge Island assistant fire chief Luke Carpenter, who runs his own company called Carpenter Northwest, Inc.

Kennewick woman lost her home twice, this time it was to a fire

Deana Dallas woke up to the sound of crackling and then a boom shook her Kennewick apartment. “I jumped out of bed and smelled something funny,” she told Herald on Monday. “All I saw were flames on the balcony outside the sliding back door.” Dallas was one of about 10 people living in the four-plex on the 4200 block of West Albany who lost their homes when a blaze broke out at 3:40 a.

Ambulance Stolen from AZ Hospital, Later Crashes

An ambulance was stolen Sunday in Goodyear.

Lisa Berry, a spokesperson with the Goodyear Police Department, said the Buckeye Valley Ambulance was stolen from an Abrazo hospital Sunday night, FOX 10 reports.

Police said the suspect ran a red light and crashed the ambulance into a car a block away. Neither the driver of the stolen ambulance nor the car were hurt.

The suspect was taken into custody and has not been identified.

Florence (SC) Fire Department’s Station 6 in Full Service

The Florence Fire Department recently announced that its Station 6 is in full service.

FA reported late last year that the $5.5 million, two-station project was nearly complete. The plan saw Station 4 on Jody Road finish first and now Station 6 is ready for action.
