PHOTOS: A quick moving fire swept through a portion of Walla Walla County over the weekend burning upwards of 1,400 acres.
The Neff Road fire burned 1,439 acres of pasture and Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) land fueled by high winds on Saturday, June 15. The fire, near the town of Prescott, was fully contained as of Monday.

Crews are investigating after a house in Seattle’s Delridge neighborhood caught on fire early Monday morning.
At around 12:28 a.m., the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) announced that crews were responding to a house fire near the corner of 26th Ave. SW and SW Hudson St. The area is a block east of West Seattle Golf Course.

The Nisqually John Fire was 100% contained as of Sunday morning with no injuries and no structures lost, but without quick aerial support, the outcome could’ve been completely different.
“The way that wind was blowing, the air resources really kept it at bay,” Whitman County Fire District 14 Deputy Chief Nick Bell said.

PHOTOS: Last Monday morning, a fiery rollover crash off state Route 210 in Little Cottonwood Canyon closed the road for hours.
Witnesses didn’t think anyone could have survived the explosion, but one Unified police officer ran into the flames to make a daring rescue.
A supervisor from the Unified Police Department identified officer Wilson from the Canyon Patrol Unit as the hero who rushed in to rescue a driver pinned in the burning semitruck.

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Tuesday will mark 17 years since nine of Charleston’s bravest were killed while responding to a massive furniture store fire off Savannah Highway.
The Charleston Fire Department (CFD) will honor the fallen with a ceremony held annually at the Charleston 9 Memorial Park. The park was established where the Sofa Super Store once stood.
