VIDEO: Fire damages 15 boats at Las Vegas Boat Harbor on Lake Mead

PHOTOS: About 15 boats were damaged or destroyed after an early morning fire at Las Vegas Boat Harbor at Lake Mead. According to the National Park Service, the fire started around 12:30 a.m. and was contained by 3:30 a.m. As of Sunday evening, authorities were still investigating what caused the fire.

Georgia fire training lieutenant appears as contestant on Pat Sajak’s final episode of ‘Wheel of Fortune’

Back-to-back shark bite incidents cause Florida county to close waters

The waters off Walton County, Florida, closed after back-to-back shark bite incidents Friday. Both incidents occurred in Walton County — which is in the Florida Panhandle — and not near a boat, but officials are unclear how far the attacks happened from land, said Mackenzie McClintock, a spokesperson for the South Walton Fire District.

2-alarm fire burns in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District, draws more than 85 firefighters

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Dozens of firefighters worked to put out a 2-alarm fire in a vacant commercial building in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District Monday. The fire in the 1000 block of South Jackson Street started at around midnight and continued to burn at least seven hours later. More than 85 firefighters responded.

4 injured, 1 in critical condition in 3-car crash in Stevens County

Four people were injured, one critically injured, in a three-car crash near Clayton. According to Stevens County Fire District 1, firefighters received a call at 5:30 p.m. regarding a crash at Swenson Road and Highway 395 intersection. The Washington State Patrol is investigating the accident. Stevens County firefighters reported that the highway/intersection remained closed at 7 p.
