The land passersby see cleared in west Oak Ridge near the Oak Ridge Turnpike will soon host a training center for first responders, including those responding to nuclear emergencies. Investigators are trying to figure out if a fire at a building in North Seattle was set on purpose. The fire, at an apartment in the 5100 block of 25th Avenue Northeast, was spotted when people saw the flames on a second-floor balcony of a building. The building houses retail on the ground floor and apartments above.
