Dash Cam Catches Hit and Run with Fire Truck in Dayton (OH)

Dayton (OH) police released video of an apparent hit and run involving a city fire truck captured by a motorist’s dash camera, according to a report published by the Dayton Daily News.

In the video, a Dayton Fire Department aerial with lights activated attempts to make a right turn while responding to a call for service when another car tries to pass on the right, in the path of the fire truck, according to the newspaper report. There were no injuries in the collision which occurred on Sept. 7 at about 9:30 pm, the paper reported.

The police praised the individual who alerted authorities to the video which police say essentially has helped solve the case, the newspaper said.

Washington state employees, including first responders, sue state over vaccine mandate

Over 90 different people including state troopers, Dept. of Corrections workers, firefighters and healthcare workers are suing the state over Governor Jay Inslee’s mandate that state employees must be vaccinated before Oct. 18 or could lose their jobs. The lawsuit filed on Sept. 10 in Walla Walla County Superior Court, alleges that Inslee’s vaccination mandate overreaches his authority and violates the rights afforded to workers by the state’s constitution.

VIDEO: Fire destroys dozens of cars at Indiana auto yard

Firefighters say more than three dozen cars caught fire Wednesday morning at a south side business. Crews used tanker trucks to bring water deep into the auto yard.
