The Oak Ridge, TN, Fire Department recently took delivery of a new wildland firefighting vehicle, according to a news release from the city.
The new apparatus, called Brush 1, was purchased by the city and funds from a Tennessee Emergency Management Agency $16,000 grant helped purchase equipment.
Equipped with a 300-gallon water tank and a 300-gallon-per-minute pump, it also has a bumper-mounted monitor with a remote-control joystick in the cab, the press release said.
It is built on a 2020 Dodge 5500, 4×4 cab and chassis by Anchor-Richey an emergency vehicle builder in Taylorsville, NC. It has 200 feet of booster line and $16,000 of equipment purchased with a grant from the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency.
