In about a couple of weeks, for the first time in the city’s history, all Redding (CA) Fire Department engines will be fully staffed with three firefighters, reports krcrtv.com.
In preparation, the department’s four recruits recently took part in a live-training response to a residential structure fire at the Shasta College Regional Public Safety Training Center.
The recruits still must finish some classroom training but are expected to be working on engines as part of three-person crews in about a week and a half.
