Kennewick fire crews respond to Zintel Canyon fire

PHOTOS: According to Kennewick Fire Department Fire Chief, Chad Michael the Zintel Canyon Fire on the afternoon of September 8, may have been human-caused. At 1:16 p.m. KFD was called to a Natural Cover Fire behind the Kennewick Irrigation District administrative building. When crews arrived it was found that a large black collumn of smoke was coming from the Canyon.

VIDEO: Crews knock down fire in Lacey mobile home park

Crews are investigating after a massive fire broke out in a mobile home park in Lacey early Saturday morning. Just after midnight, firefighters with the Lacey Fire Department (LFD) responded to reports of a fire in the 6800 block of Martin Way E. Upon arrival, crews found a mobile home completely engulfed in flames, which were spreading to two additional homes.

Multiple fires reported minutes apart outside buildings in Kelso

Cowlitz County firefighters responded to multiple trash fires outside of businesses in Kelso early Sunday morning. Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue said just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday, firefighters and Longview firefighters responded to Boondox convenience store on West Cowlitz Way in Kelso. When they arrived, they found a dumpster at the back of the building fully engulfed in flames.

VIDEO: Arson investigation underway after inferno engulfs Florida mechanic shop

An arson investigation is underway after a raging inferno tore through a mechanic shop in Miami on Friday morning. At 5:20 a.m., the City of Miami Department of Fire-Rescue responded to reports of a fire at the scene. Firefighters arrived to find a vehicle fire raging on the exterior of the mechanic shop located near the intersection of Northwest Seventh Avenue and 79th Street.

Buried alive twice, retired NYC firefighter shares harrowing 9/11 experience

VIDEO: As another anniversary of 9/11 sits on the horizon, officials at Seneca East Local Schools are paying tribute. “As I’m taking my last breaths of life, I realized that my life was over and I did something I hadn’t done in a long time, I closed my eyes and said a prayer,” Joe Torrillo, a retired lieutenant with the New York City Fire Department said.
