Moody Street (MA) Fire Station Back Up and Running Following Renovations

Following its renovation, the new state-of-the-art Moody Street (MA) Fire Station is back up and running, reports patch.com.

Built in the 1800s, the Moody Street Fire Station needed upgrades, including more space. In 2019, a $9.3 million station renovation project began. It was scheduled to open at the end of 2020 or early 2021 but saw delays.

A to-be-determined ribbon-cutting ceremony is in the works for the new digs.

Several Federal Way families displaced by apartment fire

Several families have been displaced after an apartment fire in Federal Way on June 20. At about 12:05 a.m. Sunday, South King Fire crews responded to a fire at the Mountain Sun Apartments (1747 S. 305th Place) in Federal Way. Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority and King County Medic One also responded to the fire.

‘I had no choice but to go for the gun’: Florida first responders sprang into action

VIDEO: About four seconds was the difference between life and death on May 31 when an unconscious man awoke to Manatee County medical first responders trying to help him and pulled out a loaded gun. “I had no choice but to go for the gun,” said Manatee County Paramedic Carlos Santos. Santos’ quick reaction, along with his partner, EMT Joe Savasta, and nearby sheriff’s deputies, prevented what could have been a tragic day.
