PHOTOS: A fire in the wrecking yard at Nob Hill Auto Wrecking in Yakima has burned 100 wrecked cars, according to Yakima Fire Deputy Chief DJ Goldsmith.
The fire started on Wed., July 10 and continued burning throughout the night. It is expected to continue burning for several weeks.
SR 24 was also closed overnight between I-82 and University Parkway for crews to work on the fire.

PHOTOS: A fire burning in a remote area on the north end of Lake Chelan likely won't be contained until the end of October.
The Pioneer Fire is burning on national forest and private land about 30 miles up lake from the town of Chelan.
This fire has been burning since June 8.
At 3:00 p.m. on July 10, the first was reported to be 12,265 acres in size.

PHOTOS: A historic building went up in flames, breaking many hearts for residents in Decker, Indiana.
The fire destroyed the former Decker high school. The old Decker school holds many memories to the community.
"We used to roll, skate, jump rope, hopscotch, and play in the trees. There's still one tree left over there that we used to play on," said Decker resident Yolanda Lane.
