MT’s Evergreen Fire & Rescue Receives Donation for New Fire Equipment

According to a report from KPAX, Evergreen Fire & Rescue (EFR) in Kalispell, Montana, received a generous donation from The Betty Woods Foundation to purchase five new emergency medical service jump bags. The Foundation donates to emergency rescue providers across the Flathead Valley.

EFR is a combination fire department of 12 full-time staff members and volunteers.

EFR Captain James Boyce said the jump bags contain needed supplies such as advanced life support equipment, emergency medications, oxygen.

Each EFR ambulance and fire engine will now have one bag. Boyce said the new bags are high-quality and easy to clean, important factors during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also said the jump bags are the first line of defense for EMS providers while treating patients.
