Married Ohio fire lieutenants retire together

VIDEO: Lieutenants Joe and Jennifer Linnenkugel completed their final shift at the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department on Tuesday. Both have been members of the department for years and knew each other well before joining. Jennifer had been a stay-at-home mom before her husband transferred to Toledo.

App helps Minnesota first responders approach people in crisis

Lexington City Council donating fire truck North Carolina Fallen Firefighters Foundation

Washington DNR hopes to add world’s largest firefighting plane to arsenal

The Washington Department of Natural Resources hopes to add the world’s largest firefighting aircraft to its arsenal. Wildfire season is an unfortunate reality in the northwest and Commissioner of Public Lands Hilary Franz hopes the 747 Global Supertanker will assist in the annual firefight. The aircraft is the only one of its kind and can carry up to 19,000 gallons of water or fire retardant.

Man burned, 3 puppies rescued in Monroe brush fire

One person suffered minor burns and three puppies were rescued when a fire broke out in an encampment in Monroe Wednesday morning. The fire was reported just after 5 a.m. along a steep, brushy hillside in the 19900 block of Woods Creek Road, according to Heather Chadwick with Snohomish Fire District No.
