When Mike Ettenberg was a firefighter for the city of Coronado, sunglasses were the item he could wear that brought out his personality. But when the alarm rang and duty called, it was like those designer shades were meant to be scratched, cracked, broken, and lost.

VIDEO: On Tuesday, the Gautier Fire Department celebrated the arrival of a brand new fire truck.
The new truck, themed after the Gautier Gators, shows off community pride for the local school system.
The color has reflective material in the stripes and many new lights.
Officials with the fire department say the new truck just needs its radio and hoses attached and should be ready to get on the road next week.

PHOTO: The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department says fireworks were the likely cause of a 5–6-acre fire that burned several buildings near Graham Monday afternoon.
Around 2:45 p.m. Monday, fire crews from multiple departments were called to a 2-alarm fire near 260th Street East and 50th Avenue East in the Elk Plain area near Graham.

VIDEO: A 911 call is typically the first call for help, but Poulsbo Fire Chief Jim Gillard told FOX 13 News the CARES program is helping aid those calls.
"What’s really neat is, we’re not reducing the number of times people call 911, we’re reducing the number of emergencies they’re having that require them to call 911 or utilize an emergency department," Gillard said.
