PHOTOS: North Beach Volunteer Fire Department (NBVFD) is pleased to announce the arrival of an iconic piece of the department’s history. In 1947, the department took delivery of an FMC John Bean high pressure pumper built on a KB International chassis. The truck served the Twin Beaches communities for a number of years before being sold and lost track of.

The Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary that occurred at a fire station in Woodland.
The burglary at a Cowlitz Fire District #1 station on Woodland Heights Road was reported to the sheriff's office on Monday.
The sheriff's office said all medical equipment was stolen from vehicles that were parked inside the station.

Hospitals across western Washington are hoping to vaccinate more than 4,000 first responders by the end of the year. Departments have seen impacts to their forces and have had to adapt as first responders have been faced with coronavirus exposures and quarantines.
Woodinville Deputy Fire Chief Doug McDonald said departments across the region respond to 18 coronavirus-related calls per day.

A car smashed through one of the main front entrances of Factoria Mall in Bellevue Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened just before 10:30 after the driver suffered a medical event, Bellevue Police said. The car went through the glass doors at the MarketPlace entrance and made it about 20 yards inside out front of the Panera Bread entrance.

Chelan County Fire District 1 officially moved into its new station at its new location, in the 700 block of North Wenatchee Avenue, the week of Thanksgiving. Chief Brian Brett reflects on the new spot after a month of settling in.
“It’s been a blessing,” said Chief Brian Brett. “It’s a nice, new, clean facility.
