Fire officials say a malfunctioning electrical outlet in a living room caused a fire that demolished a one-story home in the middle of Basin City Sunday evening. Barn In Centralia ‘Total Loss’ After Fire

A barn on Teitzel Road in Centralia was a “total loss” due to a fire that consumed the structure Sunday afternoon, according to Riverside Fire Authority. There were no injuries to fire personnel or the owners of the property, Assistant Fire Chief Kevin Anderson said, but a dog was treated for minor burns.

Damaging winds caused significant damage around the Chicago area Saturday night, and strong winds may have even sparked a fire in the northwest suburbs. Houston firefighter shot with pellet gun, fire truck windows broken during call

A Houston firefighter was injured while responding to a burning storage unit but not by heat or flames. Investigators said a woman shot him with a pellet gun. Houston Fire Department Engine 82 was at a storage facility about 11:30 a.m. Friday in the 12400 block of Fondren Road. They were able to extinguish the fire using a pump can.
