The wildfire burning 14 miles southwest of Naches, Wash., is now 37% contained, according to an update from fire officials Thursday.
The Retreat Fire started on July 23 and so far has burned approximately 31,514 acres in eastern Washington. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
On Thursday, officials said fire operations are complete on the east side of the fire and crews are mopping up and securing control lines on the south and east side of the fire.

Yakima County Fire District 5 said a new scam is going around White Swan.
According to YCFD5, random people are going door to door in White Swan and asking residents for their information so they can receive disaster assistance.
This is specifically regarding assistance after the Slide Ranch fire that destroyed more than 16 structures, including family homes.

VIDEO: Home surveillance video from a Tulsa living room shows a dog chewing on a power bank with a lithium-ion battery inside.
Suddenly, there is a flash, and a fire breaks out within minutes, leaving the two dogs and a cat in danger.
"The thing that's important about this situation is how fast you see this fire progress,” said Andy Little with the Tulsa Fire Department.

VIDEO/PHOTOS: A ‘medical emergency’ caused a crash in Dandridge Wednesday morning after a firefighter passed out while driving.
Dandridge Fire Chief Andy Riley shared that the driver and a lieutenant with the Dandridge Fire Department were out around 10:30 a.m. to do a weekly check of the department’s fire boat in Douglas Lake when the driver passed out behind the wheel.
