Firefighters respond to blazes at historic brewhouse in Tumwater

A fire that damaged the historic brick brewhouse on the Deschutes River below Tumwater Falls Saturday night appears to have been intentionally set, a city official said Sunday. There’s no power to the building, spokeswoman Ann Cook said, which rules out an electrical fire. Investigators are looking into the cause and origins of the fire, searching for chemicals used to accelerate the fire and burn patterns.

Family dog exposed to smoke but rescued by first responders from a garage fire in Woodland

A family dog was exposed to smoke but rescued by first responders from a garage fire Sunday in Woodland. Clark County Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched at 7:19 p.m. to a report of a fire at 169 Marty Loop. The first crew, from the Woodland station, arrived at the house in six minutes, according to a news release from the fire agency.

Chelan, Douglas and Grant Fire Districts Work 200 Acre Brush Fire

All hands were on deck for the 200 to 250 acre brush fire south of Rock Island Sunday evening as Chelan, Douglas and Grant County fire district crews, the Bureau of Land Management and the Forest Service worked against extremely windy conditions. 2 killed, 11 injured in three-vehicle head on collision near Orondo

PHOTO: The Douglas County Fire District 4 says 13 people were involved in a three-vehicle head-on collision Sunday afternoon on Highway 97 north of Orondo, with two people being declared dead at the scene. According to DCFD4, first units on scene found the crash involved three vehicles, one boat and a camp trailer.

VIDEO: Smoke from a huge fire in downtown Phoenix at a four-story apartment complex under construction could be seen from miles away Sunday night. It was at the intersection of 7th Avenue and Grant Street, near Jefferson Street. According to officials on scene, nearly 40% of the building was complete before the fire erupted.
