The Rincon Rural Fire District which covered local areas in Yavapai county. The district purchased a fire engine built to access outlying areas of Yavapai county.
The original engine that was purchased by the Rincon district was in service for about 20 years and was lettered with the Rincon Fire District name and the Remuda Ranch brand on the door, as the John Burden family owned and operated Remuda for many years. When it began to age, the engine was re-purposed as utility truck, but the equipment wasn’t completely retired.

After more than three decades of serving the fire district in various capacities, Burden recently stopped by the station to visit with the crew and see the engine, which recently returned from a wild fire deployment in Northern California.
