A fire ripped through a home in Orchards early Sunday morning, severely damaging the building and displacing the family of six living there. Firefighters from the Vancouver Fire Department and Clark County Fire District 3 were called to the house, 15505 N.E. 83rd St., around 1:50 a.m. Vancouver Fire Department spokesman Bryan Fredrickson said responding firefighters arrived to find fire coming from the rear of the house on the second floor and an outbuilding engulfed in flames.

The department's paramedics and staff will hold a special training event to show how the "Stop the Bleed" kits can save a life.
