Update: Brinnon cabin fire that killed couple, 3 boys was likely a horrible accident, official says

Autopsies completed after the devastating cabin fire that killed a family of five in Brinnon “revealed no indicators to suspect foul play,” said Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney Michael Haas. “It’s shaping up to look like a horrible accident,” he said Tuesday afternoon. Haas said more information from the autopsies would be released after he had spoken to the victims’ family members.

Evacuation notices lifted in Central Washington wildfire

Authorities in Grant County have lifted all evacuation notices as crews work to contain a wildfire burning grass and brush in Central Washington. Fire officials said Wednesday that one small outbuilding was lost but no injuries have been reported. The wildfire has burned about 3 square miles in a sparsely populated area north of the city of Soap Lake.

Skagit County EMS unveils framework to revise ambulance system

Skagit County’s Department of Emergency Medical Services debuted Tuesday the framework for a plan to revise the ambulance system. At a meeting of EMS stakeholders, county EMS Director Jeff Sargent presented an eight-point list of initiatives the department wants to implement during the next six-year EMS levy cycle.

Truck Slams Into Fire Engine In Hauula, Injuring Woman And Girl

Honolulu emergency officials say a 72-year-old woman and a 7-year-old girl were taken to the hospital in serious condition.

HFD officials say no firefighters were injured.  An official says they'll have to check the fire truck to see if it's fit for use.
