A Clark County deputy fire marshal continues to investigate what sparked a blaze that destroyed a fairgrounds building housing two food stalls. He said Thursday signs suggest the cause may have been electrical. There were several electric appliances near the fire’s point of origin, said Caleb Barnes, deputy fire marshal.

After an investigation, no one is pinning the blame on anyone in particular for the Grant County Fire District 3 truck that burned up during the Monument Hill Fire near Quincy last August. On August 16th, the inferno ate up land at a rapid rate. The firefighters manning the vehicle were out doing structure protection when the blaze began to burn out-of-control.
