An Amtrak train making the first-ever run along a new route hurtled off an overpass Monday near Tacoma and spilled some of its cars onto the highway below, killing at least three people, authorities said. Seattle firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze Sunday afternoon in the Duwamish Industrial District. The fire was in the Olympic Foundry in the 4800 block of Airport Way South. The call came in about 2 p.m. and was put out about 3 p.m. There were no injuries. The fire response has blocked the road.

Units with the Spokane Valley Fire Department and Spokane County Fire District 8 responded to a structure fire just before 9 a.m. Saturday. Arriving crews found a garage at 4209 S. Sunderland was on fire. Engine 84 upgraded the incident to a working fire which brought more resources to the scene. Units aggressively attacked the garage fire and were able to slow the fire's spread.
