Compiled data helps Spokane Fire Department pinpoint wildfire hot spots

Even though we’re still in the middle of winter, it’s never too early to start thinking about fire season. The Spokane Fire Department recently compiled data from wildland fire response activity over the last five years, showing the areas that saw the most calls within the city. Josh Mulvey lives in one of those “hot spots” near Minnehaha Park.

All models are 12VDC and feature a 55 inch connector cable. The Outliner is SAE J575 and IP67 rated. Each model comes with a five-year warranty.

Off-Duty Seattle Firefighter Pulls Man From Burning Truck on I-5 in Chehalis

An off-duty Seattle firefighter driving south on Interstate 5 Tuesday morning stopped and pulled a man from a flaming pickup truck, possibly saving his life, said Chief Ken Cardinale of the Chehalis Fire Department. “There was a hero on the scene,” he said. “He was just on his way to work and came upon the accident and the most serious injury was in the pickup truck, and the pickup truck was on fire.

Clallam County Fire District 3 considering levy lid lift

For two consecutive years, Clallam County Fire District 3’s call load has risen above 7,000 and thousands more than a few years prior. In 2017, the Sequim-area had 7,224 emergency calls with about 86-percent, or 6,187 of those Emergency Medical Service-related, or EMS, reports Fire Chief Ben Andrews.

Clallam County Fire District 3 names Firefighters of the Year

Sequim natives. Wives. Mothers. And now Firefighters of the Year. Fellow career and volunteer firefighters with Clallam County District 3 selected Stefanie Anderson, a career firefighter/paramedic, and Anaka Hughes, a volunteer firefighter/EMT, as 2017’s Firefighters of the Year. Anderson was named Career Firefighter of the Year and Hughes Volunteer Firefighter of the Year on Jan.
