The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Unit and SnoHAWK 10 aerial support recovered the body of a Seattle man who fell from Wallace Falls in Snohomish County earlier Sunday.
A woman called 911 around 5:00 p.m. and reported that her 33-year-old husband had fallen over an embankment near the Sky Valley Lookout at middle falls.

With the resignation of Arlington's Fire Chief Bruce Stedman, Deputy Fire Chief Dave Kraski will be named acting fire chief and the City Council was asked this week to approve a professional services agreement with former Deputy Fire Chief Tom Cooper to provide consulting support to the fire department.

Even after a week of much cooler temperatures and rain, Washington's six large wildfires continue to burn.
Here is an update from north to south.
Diamond Creek Fire 75% contained. It is about 11 miles northwest of Mazama and has covered almost 130,000 acres since it started in July. Uno Peak Fire 20% contained.

A Herron Island woman woke up to flames burning her bedsheets Saturday morning in a fire that burned her home to the ground, according to the Key Peninsula Fire Department.
Crews were dispatched to the home in the 200 block of Fir Lane about 8:30 a.m.
By the time firefighters reached the island by ferry, they arrived to see the 900-square-foot home engulfed in flames, Key Peninsula Chief Guy Allen said.
