The Greeneville Emergency and Rescue Squad was recently awarded a $15,000 grant by the Altria Companies Employee Community Fund. The grant was used to purchase two sets of Res-Q-Jack's new Apex X-Strut systems, which are specialty jacks that can be used to stabilize vehicles and structures in an accident, according to a news release.
The rescue squad will use the stabilization jacks on two of their primary rescue trucks, according to the release. Â
Rescue squad members “were surprised to learn the jacks that were received were the first two sold in the U.S. by the Res-Q-Jack company,” the release states.
