Video: Man Steals Ohio Ambulance with Patient and Medic Inside

Medics were called to the 400 block of Salem Avenue on October 20 around 6:30 p.m. on a call of a person down. While they were treating the person and getting the patient into the ambulance, police say the keys were in the ignition of the ambulance. That's when Jeffrey Brown, 44, of Dayton is accused of jumping in to the driver's seat and taking off.

Rural (TX) Volunteer Fire Department Gets $20,000 Grant

Chief Allen McWhirter of West Lake Limestone VFD says the slip-on will be used to knock down grass fires in their growing wildland interface, farming, and ranching community.

 

The department said they are excited to administer the training on operating a military vehicle that will enable them to protect life at a greater capacity.

$3.1M EMS Station Finished in Wabasca (Canada)

“It’s going to have a positive impact,” said Athabasca-Sturgeon-Redwater MLA Colin Piquette in an interview. “What’s happened is previous to this, they had the one ambulance stationed out of the (healthcare centre) and the other one was stationed in another part of town.”

 

The new EMS station is right next to the Wabasca/Desmarais Healthcare Centre, and features “modern, comfortable lodgings” for EMS crews and a conference room.

Electric vehicles themselves have many great applications yet to be tapped as well. Nissan, intent to capture one more market segment for electric vehicles, has unveiled its solution for certain urban delivery needs.

 

Together, Nissan recently put two cool concept vehicles on stage — the Paramedic Concept and the all-electric Nissan e-NV200 Fridge Concept.

Palm Coast (FL) to Donate Fire Apparatus to Kentucky Volunteer Fire Department

The trucks are models that are no longer useful as first-line trucks for the city, City Manager Jim Landon told Palm Coast City Council members at a council workshop Oct. 31.

 

Howard Peiffer, a volunteer with the city’s Fire Associates and a former chief of the city’s volunteer fire department, has offered to pay $2,000 himself to ship one of the trucks to the department in Kentucky and plans to go there to teach the firefighters how to use it.

 

Palm Coast gave a neighboring town in Kentucky a fire apparatus about two years ago, and Peiffer also taught that department how to use its new truck.
