Bremerton firefighter's son hopes his mullet is a cut above the rest in national competition

VIDEO: Many people gained new interests and experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. For one family in Bremerton, their youngest child’s interest earned him a top spot in a national competition. At just three years old, Rocky Cammarata started growing his hair in the style of a mullet. The inspiration came from his father in 2020 during the COVID-19 shutdown.

Crews battle 2-alarm fire in Seattle's Chinatown-International District

Crews responded to a 2-alarm fire in a vacant, boarded-up warehouse in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District Thursday morning. The fire on the 1000 block of South King Street was first reported around 6:35 a.m. and sent a plume of black smoke into the air that could be seen for miles. The Seattle Fire Department (SFD) said crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the building when they arrived at the scene.

8 people displaced by 2-alarm house fire in Puyallup

VIDEO: A family of eight people woke up to their house on fire early Thursday morning, and all the people escaped without injury. It was just after 12:20 a.m. when the family called firefighters after they woke up to a fire in the garage, which spread through the house. Located on 149th Street East in Puyallup, the family, who all appeared to be adults, got out fine, but the fire would consume the house reaching the fence line, damaging a car in the process, leaving the family displaced and under the care of the Red Cross.

EMT stabbed by man in ambulance outside hospital in New York

VIDEO: A man has been arrested after he allegedly stabbed an EMT Wednesday night in Manhattan. Officials say 48-year-old Rudy Garcia was picked up at 94th Street and Amsterdam at around 8:50 p.m., after a call about cardiac arrest. The ambulance was on 59th Street when Garcia allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the EMT multiple times in the abdomen and leg, officials said.

Brass fire connectors are being targeted by thieves in some Philadelphia neighborhoods

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Important pieces of fire prevention equipment have once again become the target of thieves in some Philadelphia neighborhoods. Brass Fire Department Connections (FDC) are being stolen throughout Northern Liberties and Fishtown neighborhoods. Authorities suspect they are being sold for scrap, creating an expensive and potentially hazardous problem for home and business owners.
