A woman walking with her three young children in Central Park Tuesday morning was struck and pinned by a large tree. All four were taken to the hospital after the woman was freed around 10:10 a.m., the FDNY said. The family was treated at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries, the NYPD said.

A Kennewick family still has a home thanks to the teamwork of local fire crews. Firefighters from Kennewick, Pasco, and Benton County responded to a fire in some arborvitae bushes on the corner of Quincy Place and Canal Drive, Tuesday afternoon. The fire was only 30-feet from the home but crews were able to knock it down fairly quickly.
