A Hartford firefighter, who was shot in April after a drug deal went bad, was terminated on Friday, according to a department spokesman.
After an investigation by the department, Jimmy Ngo, who has no criminal record and was with the Hartford Fire Department for six years, was fired effective immediately, Captain Raul Ortiz said.

Clarence Edward Wilburn II, a longtime firefighter and paramedic who traveled to Ground Zero and served as a first responder in the wake of 9/11, died Wednesday in Hospice of Northwest Ohio in South Tole- do. He was 58.
He had pulminary fibrosis, thought to be a result of breathing the dust, smoke, and ash at Ground Zero, his younger brother, Jim, said.

The Department of Ecology is working to clean up Everett Marina after a massive fire destroyed several boats Saturday night.
The fire started around 8 p.m. in the 1700 block of W Marine View Drive. Crews at the scene say smoke and flames engulfed a boat as it was docking.
The fire spread to several other boats.

Clallam Fire District No. 2 responded to two fires, one along the Elwha River and the other located in a garage and attached shed, within three hours of each other Friday night.
No injuries were reported.
Fireworks are suspected in starting a reported brush fire near the Elwha River bridge, according to Assistant Fire Chief Mike DeRousie.
