VIDEO - Oklahoma City firefighters were called Sunday morning after a homeowner reported hearing some sort of "snorting" noise coming from his swimming pool. Emergency responders arrived and discovered a hole in the swimming pool's liner and a cow trapped in the water.
Oklahoma City Fire Department Battalion Chief Benny Fulkerson says firefighters used their pumps to remove about 5 feet of water from the pool so the cow wouldn't experience hypothermia.

Firefighters have yet to determine the cause of a Sunday afternoon fire that destroyed a house on the 900 block of South East Street in Colfax.
What is known is that the structure was a 100 percent loss and its nine residents have lost their homes.
John Huntwork, 25, and Bethany Huntwork, 23, a married couple who had lived in an apartment at the back of the house for two-and-a-half years, said the fire took everything they owned, including their wedding rings.

Despite the cold weather, many people stood outside at Columbia Basin College today to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the 27th Annual MLK Day bell ringing.
Despite the ceremony's name, he wasn't the only man honored by the event today. After the outdoor ceremonies, everyone moved inside for the awarding of the Martin Luther King Spirit Award, which is given to a community member who truly embodies the ideals that MLK was so passionate about.

A West Benton firefighter is giving his time to a mourning community in honor of the two local young men whose lives were lost.
Flags are flying at half staff around Prosser today in the wake of the deaths of James Wildman and Dylan Bolt, Prosser natives who died in a car accident last Saturday. The flag outside the West Benton Fire and Rescue Station is at half staff as well, but someone inside is taking it one step further to bring the community together: by plowing snow, and plowing it wherever it's needed.
