Pittsburgh police records indicate that a city firefighter suffered a drug overdose while on duty in a Brookline fire station on New Year's Eve. A police officer was dispatched at 6:23 a.m. to Station 26 on Brookline Boulevard to investigate the report of an overdose, according to a police incident report.

Six children were found dead after a fiery house collapse that injured four other family members who escaped from the home in Northeast Baltimore's Cedmont neighborhood Thursday morning, the city Fire Department said. Spokane officials could make railroads slow down on their way through the city under a bill proposed Wednesday. SB 5098, sponsored by Sen.
