No injuries were reported after a Centralia home was seriously damaged by a fire early Monday morning.
The fire, which was reported at 3:30 a.m. Monday, was the second reported in the 100 block of Clearview Heights in less than 18 hours. Both fires started near the homes’ garages, said Assistant Chief Rick Mack of the Riverside Fire Authority.

A Delaware firefighter has died after falling from a helicopter during a training exercise with the Delaware Air Rescue Team.
Police identified the firefighter Tuesday morning as Tim McClanahan, 46, of Lewes.
The incident occurred while a Delaware State Police aviation unit was conducting monthly "hoist training" with DART at the Delaware Coastal Airport in Georgetown Monday night.

As the D.C. Fire and EMS Department handles a growing number of 911 calls, officials are examining whether taxis or Uber drivers' cars could be used to transport callers who do no have true emergencies.
D.C FEMS Chief Gregory Dean told News4 on Monday that the department and other D.C. officials are considering adding nurses to the 911 call center to evaluate medical needs and using vehicles other than ambulances to transport people who need to go to a doctor's office -- but not to an emergency room.
