Multiple structures damaged in fire north of Arlington

Firefighters were working to mop up a 2-alarm structure fire North of Arlington Sunday night. Multiple agencies from across Snohomish County responded to reports of a structure fire in the 28600 block of Kunde Road Sunday evening. Snohomish County officials confirm the blaze was contained to a single property, but that multiple structures on that property were damaged.

Two dead in fiery four-car crash near Tacoma

Two people are dead following a fiery four-car collision on eastbound State Route 512. The crash occurred near Steele Street on Sunday night. The crash was caused by a driver, Robert DeLa Cruz, headed the wrong way, police say – driving westbound in the eastbound lanes, according to state patrol. According to authorities, Cruz took a wrong turn on Pack Avenue headed northbound.

Firefighter Hit by Fire Truck, Dies at Scene

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A Conway Firefighter is dead after responding to a house fire Sunday afternoon on Hickory Circle. Officials say the firefighter was struck by a fire engine, resulting in the death. Conway Fire and Horry County Fire Rescue crews both responded to the fire. Lt.

Lt. Brian Van Aernem with Horry County Rescue confirmed serious injuries at that time. Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard later confirmed one firefighter death.

Christopher Gene Ray from Green Sea was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Horry County Coroner's Office.

Ray has been an employee with the City of Conway since February 1, 2010.

Several people reached out on Facebook to send messages and condolences for the firefighter that passed away in the line of duty. 

"These folks put their lives on the line with every call. They run towards the danger while everyone else is running away from it."

"R.I.P.,prayers out to the surviving family and friend."

"Prayers for the family and city of Conway."

"Rest easy brother, we'll take it from here. RIP."

Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick has scheduled an autopsy for Monday. The South Carolina Highway Patrol’s MAIT is investigating the accident.
