A man and a woman were transported to Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles tonight after they were hurt in a single-vehicle rollover wreck at 5:10 p.m., firefighters said. The sport utility vehicle appeared to be traveling along Turnstone Lane, which runs parallel to U.S. Highway 101 on the south side, when it careened off the roadway and rolled over onto its roof about a half-mile west of the River Road exit, according to Chief Ben Andrews of Clallam County Fire District 3.

An early-morning fire has badly damaged part of a Spokane Valley church. Around 3 a.m. Thursday, Spokane Valley Fire Department was called to the Spokane Baptist Church on 12915 E. Broadway for a reported fire. When they got there, the firefighters saw heavy smoke coming from the roof as well as a fire on the back-end of a nearby building.

A woman was killed after she was trapped under a King County Metro bus at the Northgate Transit Center on Thursday afternoon. Seattle Police Department says the bus collided with the 94-year-old woman at 1st Avenue Northeast and Northeast 100th Street around 3 p.m. Firefighters extricated the woman; they pronounced her dead at the scene.
