Video made by president of Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs aims to help prevent first responder suicides

With jobs as intense as first responders have, some can experience thoughts of self-harm. That’s why the president of the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs is now promoting a video aimed at preventing the loss of life for those that protect us on a daily basis. “Thank you for having me. First of all, there’s PTSD, which is commonly heard throughout all of our society, but it seems to be on the grow in public safety as a whole, whether that’s fire, police, EMS or 911,” President of the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs, David Eddins said.

Three hospitalized with 'significant smoke inhalation' in Walla Walla house fire

Marysville Fire District Chief retires after nearly 4 decades of service

The Marysville Fire District is celebrating the retirement of Chief Darryl Neuhoff, who has worked as a firefighter in Snohomish County for nearly four decades. His career started in 1983 at Snohomish County Fire District 20, where he worked in the Lake Godwin area. Over the next 15 years, he worked as a volunteer and career firefighter before being promoted to Lieutenant, then Fire Chief.

Firefighters respond to two Kelso fires Monday

Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue responded to two fires Monday in the Kelso area, and fire and law enforcement officials are investigating the causes of both blazes. Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue Battalion Chief Joe Tone said fire crews responded to a home at 12:20 a.m. in the 800 block of Fourth Avenue. Tone said the homeowner had already extinguished the fire before units arrived.
