Sequim hospital guild donates $31,109 to Clallam Fire District 3

The Sequim-Dungeness Hospital Guild has presented $31,109 to Clallam County Fire District No. 3 for the purchase of new Zoll X Series monitors and defibrillators to equip ambulances and fire engines. Fire engines decorated in Christmas lights drive through Richland for food donations

Three fire engines drove through the neighborhoods of West Richland decorated in Christmas lights for a good cause. It's called Operation Candy Cane put on by Benton County Fire Protection District 4, a food drive to help the less fortunate this holiday season. For several hours Saturday evening, firefighters drove the decorated fire trucks around West Richland neighborhoods.

Children rescued from Renton fire

Children were rescued from a Renton apartment complex fire. The fire occurred just after 4:30 in the morning on Saturday. While on the way to the scene, firefighters were advised of the possibility that children were trapped on the third floor. Two children were rescued from the third floor—where they were in a smoke-filled room.
