Boy, 2, reunited with veteran FDNY firefighter who saved his life in house fire

PHOTO/VIDEO - The Tuesday reunion of veteran firefighter Lt. Victor Milukas and 2-year-old Justin Pierre lacked the drama of their first encounter — not that anyone complained. The FDNY odd couple shared hugs, handshakes and gifts Tuesday as they said hello nearly a month after the heroic Milukas plucked the youngster from a raging Brooklyn fire.

Delaware State Police: Note threatened officers, firefighters

Delaware state police are investigating a note left outside an ambulance dispatching facility in Camden that threatened police officers, firefighters and EMTs. The note, discovered last Friday, advises agencies to “give all your employees bullet prof (sic) vest. We’re after all EMS, fire and police.

Suspected King County arsonist makes court appearance

Phillip Schloredt walked quietly into courtroom one at the King County jail, accused of an arson rampage outside his Magnolia home last night. Nevertheless, his lawyer argued he should be held on a reckless burning charge. "And why do you feel arson in the second degree wouldn't apply?" asked King County District Court Judge Eileen Akato.
