Thursday marks one year since the massive warehouse fire in West Easton.
We'd be hard pressed to find someone in the Easton area who doesn't remember this day last year.
You either were far enough away to just see the smoke, or you were close enough where you could smell it. Some had soot and ash falling on your cars and homes.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg announced a new rule on Tuesday requiring two-person crews on railroads in a move to bolster safety as rail regulation has come into the spotlight after the East Palestine, Ohio, derailment last year.
"This is a good day for the safety of rail workers, rail passengers and every American who lives near a rail line all across this country because America's rails are safer today than they were yesterday," Buttigieg said at a news conference on Tuesday.

Chelan and Douglas counties could have especially quick access to aircraft for wildfires this season.
The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will be leasing space at Pangborn Airport to park some of its wildfire aircraft.
Chelan Douglas Port Regional Authority Director of Economic Development and Capital Projects Stacie de Mestre says it's the first time the agency has made the airport a base to operate from.

VIDEO: The man accused of intentionally setting a West Central home on fire over the weekend reportedly started the fire while at least five other residents were inside, according to court documents.
Nicholes Whitney, 43, was arrested early Tuesday morning and charged with six counts of first-degree arson.

Bob Eastman was sworn in as fire chief of South County Fire during the regional fire authority’s board of commissioners meeting Tuesday night.
Eastman previously served as assistant chief. He replaces Fire Chief Thad Hovis, who will serve as a transitional consultant until his retirement on July 1.
“The board thanks Chief Hovis for his leadership and many years of service to the community,” Board Chair Jim Kenny said.
