Man dies after falling into water at Bellevue construction site

A construction worker died Tuesday after he was found face-down in water at a Bellevue building site, officials said. Firefighters and medics responded to the scene, a construction site near 116th Avenue NE and NE 4th Street, at about 10:30 a.m. after receiving reports of an injury accident, said a Bellevue Fire Department spokesperson.

Carpenter Road Fire now 65,346 acres; 40% contained

The Carpenter Road Fire experienced minimal growth overnight and is now listed at 65,346 acres and 40% contained. Drum Road and Cottonwood Road remain on Level 3 evacuation while the Spokane Indian Reservation remains on Level 1. "The west portion of the fire below Springdale-Hunters Road remains in patrol status with little to no heat.

Arkansas firefighter seriously injured battling mobile home blaze

A Eureka Springs firefighter is recovering after he was seriously injured fighting a structure fire on Grand Street. Fire officials say a team of two firefighters entered a burning mobile home when one of the firefighter's air pack mask was dislodged. Officials believe that Rod Wasson's mask was knocked loose while entering a doorway.
