Family of girl run over after Asiana crash drops suit against San Francisco

The parents of a 16-year-old girl run over by San Francisco Fire Department rigs after she was ejected during the 2013 Asiana Airlines crash dismissed their wrongful death lawsuit against the city. Ye Meng Yuan was thrown from the Boeing 777 as it crashed while landing at San Francisco International Airport on July 6, 2013.

U.S. Forest Service firefighter killed battling blaze near Lake Tahoe

A 21-year-old man from Shingle Springs was killed Saturday evening in the Lake Tahoe area after he was struck by a tree while battling a wildfire. Douglas County fire truck in rollover crash en route to fire

A fire truck was involved in a rollover accident while responding to a brush fire in rural Douglas County on Friday evening. Douglas County Sheriff Harvey Gjesdal said the brush truck, a Ford F550, went off the road, struck a boulder and then rolled completely over. Two firefighters inside suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

Rise in Benton County Fire District 4 service calls

Benton County Fire District 4’s calls for service are on the rise, putting a strain on the use of the agencies resources, especially their personnel. KEPR went to the station to see how new funding may potentially change the lives of those working at the West Richland Stations. “We're waiting for that 911 call so when it comes in here were ready to go,” said Benton County Fire District 4 Captain Ed Dunbar.
