A former Everett firefighter accused of planning to meet an underage girl for sex in West Seattle last year pled guilty Monday to three charges in the case.
David "Pete" Vier was arrested last November during an online sting targeting men looking for sex with underage girls.
Police say Vier replied to an undercover detectives ad on a personals section of a fetish website and agreed to pay $150 to have sex with an underage prostitute.

Several wildfires lit up Washington state on Tuesday, destroying at least one home and threatening dozens of others.
In eastern Washington, a brush fire burned at least one property and forced a handful of homes in a rural neighborhood to evacuate, said Patty Courson, a spokeswoman with the Walla Walla County Emergency Management.

State transportation officials say Interstate 90 in Grant County has reopened in both directions Tuesday morning.
A 17-mile stretch of highway was closed Monday after blowing dust and smoke from a brush fire made it unsafe for drivers.
A spokesman with the Grant County sheriff's office said Tuesday morning that the fire has burned up to 900 acres and did not grow rapidly overnight.

Firefighters were called to the Red Lion Hotel in Tacoma after fire in adjacent landscape spread to the building Tuesday morning.
The fire spread to a stairwell in the hotel at 8402 South Hosmer Street.
The side of the building where the fire occurred was evacuated.
Firefighters could be seen breaking out a window, cutting holes through the stairwell walls and spraying water from the third floor.

The Washington State Fire Marshall's Office is alerting residents near Walla Walla of a fire that has already charred more than 2,500 acres.
According to DNR officials, the Blue Creek Fire is zero percent contained and is burning ten miles east of Walla Walla. The fire is burning timber and short grass, officials said.
